Lynn Thompson has accepted the position of Preaching and Teaching Pastor and will be working with the board at the Mennonite Home where he is currently employed to determine his availability date. He is estimating that it will be in July or early August. 

The elders reviewed all of the comments and then sat down and met with Lynn. The elders spent time praying with him and expressed complete and total support for him in the role of Preaching and Teaching Pastor. Lynn asked for some time to pray with Liane and consider the comments to make sure there was nothing in them that would cause him to reconsider. He advised us that he felt the call on his life was even more clear and that this process had increased that sense of calling. 

God has provided a vision, staff and a congregation with giftedness and maturity. We have much work to do in caring for one another. In addition we live in a lost world, where we are surrounded by people who don't know the hope and joy of life in Christ.  Let us now continue to “Join with Christ in Building His Church”.

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and
